Since 1944, we have fostered community for the residents in West Marin.

Church History

The Beginning

Point Reyes Presbyterian Community Church (PCUSA) was first established in November 1944, by a small group Point Reyes residents. Without a permanent place to meet, the church met in the historic Forester’s Hall in Point Reyes on Sunday evenings.

Continuing Legacy

The church continues to support and care for the local residents, and makes the building useful and available to the community. It remains a small community of believers who offer a warm, welcoming and supportive presence to all.

Pastors

We’ve been honored to have been served by many faithful ministers over the years who cared for the congregation and the community.

Growing & Building

By 1949 the original church building (now the fellowship hall) was constructed, and the first services were held in 1950. As the church grew and changed over the following years, a new sanctuary was constructed and completed in 1986 (pictured).
